A. The Golden Rule of the SOS
The Panic Button is for life-threatening emergencies or immediate danger only.
Don't cry wolf. False alerts strain the Mesh Relay and drain the battery of neighbor devices. Misuse of the SOS feature may lead to account suspension by Community Admins.
B. Responsible Reporting & Media
Accuracy over speed.
When submitting a Field Report, ensure images and audio are clear and relevant. Aggressive compression is applied to all media (WebP/Ogg Opus) to keep the mesh fast—don't spam the network with non-essential files.
No graphic violence or dehumanizing content. Memeza is a tool for safety, not for spreading trauma.
C. Respect the Mesh (Device Stewardship)
You are a relay, not just a user.
By using Memeza, you agree to act as a "Ghost Relay" for your neighbors. Your phone will occasionally use small bursts of Bluetooth energy to pass on life-saving packets.
Privacy: Never attempt to de-anonymize or intercept packets meant for others. The RSA-2048 encryption is there for a reason—respect the digital walls of your community.
D. Role-Based Conduct
For Admins: Use the Broadcast feature responsibly. Targeted alerts should only be sent to those who need to act (e.g., Responders) to avoid notification fatigue. Distinguish between Normal, High, and Critical alerts so the most important messages get through the mesh first.
For Responders: Act with integrity. The media and locations shared via the Responder Dashboard are sensitive. Protect that data as if it were your own.
E. Anti-Harassment & Safety
Zero tolerance for hate speech or incitement.
Memeza is built for the African Community Setting—where neighbor helps neighbor. Any attempt to use the mesh for coordinated harassment or spreading misinformation during blackouts will result in a permanent ban.
By downloading the Memeza APK, you aren't just installing an app; you are joining a network of guardians.
