Request account deletion (Forget me)
If you want to delete your Memeza account and have your data removed from our systems, follow these steps in the Memeza app on your phone.
In-app only. Account deletion is requested from inside the Memeza app. An administrator will then process your request and remove your data. You will not be able to use the account after your data is removed.
Steps in the app
- Open the Memeza app and sign in to your account if you are not already signed in.
- Go to Settings. Open the main menu or profile and tap Settings.
- Find “Request account deletion”. In the Settings screen, scroll until you see the option Request account deletion (with the subtitle “An admin will remove your data from the system.”).
- Tap “Request account deletion”. A confirmation dialog will appear asking you to confirm that you want to request account deletion.
- Confirm. Tap to confirm. Your request will be sent. You will see a message that the deletion request has been submitted and that an administrator will process it.
What happens next
An administrator will review your request and remove your account and associated data from Memeza (including Firestore and cloud-synced data). This may take a short time. Once processed, you will not be able to sign in with that account again.
Your Firebase Authentication account may still exist until the admin completes the deletion process. For full removal of all data linked to your account, the admin will process your forget-me request as described in our Privacy Policy (Right to be Forgotten).
